About Me.
I am an attorney-at-law by profession. However, my passionate commitment towards the Scout Movement is probably what I am best known for.
I have been a Scout since the mere age of 11 years. I was an active Junior Scout, Senior Scout and Troop Leader in my schooling days and a Scout Master and Asst. District Commissioner thereafter. I was then appointed as the District Commissioner of the Colombo District in 2005.
Soon after my tenure in the District, I immediately served as the first Special Commissioner in 2010 and the thereafter the International Commissioner of the Sri Lanka Scout Association. In 2016, I was honoured to be appointed as the Deputy Chief Commissioner of the Sri Lanka Scout Association and hold this office to date.
I was appointed Chairman of the Management Sub Committee in 2009 and was elected to the Asia Pacific Regional Scout Committee from 2012 to 2018.
I was elected to the World Scout Committee at the 41st World Scout Conference in 2017 and am served in the committee till 2021.
Additionally I have served in multiple public and private organisations in Sri Lanka and other global non-governmental and non-profit organisations.
