As District Commissioner of Colombo raised the funds and reserves of the District by 500%. Obtained a land for a camp site and built a fully equipped Scout Training Centre
Elected to the Executive Committee of the Sri Lanka Scout Council in 1995 and has been re-elected and serving
Elected to the Executive Committee of the Sri Lanka Scout Association, Colombo District Branch in 1986 and conferred the Honorary District Commissioner of Colombo
Organising Commissioner of the Millennium Scout Camporee in 1999
Head of contingent of the largest Sri Lanka Scout contingent to the 22nd World Scout Jamboree in Sweden
Has been a member of the organizing committee of the 4th, 5th, 6th,7th,8th & 9th National Jamborees in Sri Lanka
Organised many Leader Training camps and conducted sessions in skills development, personal dynamics, campfire courses, workshops both at National and International level
ATAS member #092 and ISGF member and has attended and organized many gatherings
Was instrumental in re-inaugurating the ISGF in Sri Lanka
President of the Sri Lanka Queen’s and President’s Scouts Guild from 2010-2012

Led a response team during the 2004 Tsunami catastrophe and built over 300 toilets in refugee camps for those displaced and 5 permanent houses
