JANAPRITH FERNANDO

Janaprith is an attorney-at-law by profession. However, his passionate commitment towards the Scout Movement is probably what he is best known for.

Janaprith has been a Scout since the mere age of 10 years. He was an active Junior Scout, Senior Scout and Troop Leader in his schooling days and a Scout Master, Asst. District Commissioner thereafter. He was then appointed as the District Commissioner of the Colombo District in 2005.

Soon after his tenure in the District, he immediately served as the International Commissioner of the Sri Lanka Scout Association. In 2016, he was honoured to be appointed as the Deputy Chief Commissioner of the Sri Lanka Scout Association and holds this office to date.

Janaprith was elected to the World Scout Committee at the 41st World Scout Conference in 2017 and is currently serving in the committee.

Additionally he has served in multiple public and private organisations in Sri Lanka.
